Leadership Change at KURZ

As of February 1, 2026, Dr. Christian Hub will take over leadership of the Business Area Plastic Decoration at LEONHARD KURZ. He succeeds Rainer Süßmann, who leaves the company after more than 38 years and will support the transition until June 2026. Dr. Hub, who joined KURZ in 2010, most recently led Burg Design. His clear leadership and strategic vision set the course for a strong future. Mario Erlacher will assume local leadership at Burg Design. This move positions KURZ for stability and innovation in plastic decoration.

LEONHARD KURZ Receives Silver in the EcoVadis Sustainability Rating 2025

LEONHARD KURZ has once again been recognized in the latest EcoVadis Sustainability Rating, receiving the silver medal. This places KURZ among the top 15% of all companies assessed worldwide - and even among the top 6% in its industry. This result confirms the successful implementation of the sustainability strategy under the motto ‘Be a green leader.’ KURZ significantly improved its rating, particularly in the areas of environment, ethics, and labor and human rights. KURZ remains committed to its long-term goal of achieving CO₂-neutral operations by 2040.

LEONHARD KURZ Opens Solar Carport in Fürth

On September 1, 2025, LEONHARD KURZ inaugurated its first solar carport in Fürth with 2,962 modules and an output of 1,244 kWp. Producing around 1.15 million kWh annually, it also powers the company’s new rPET recycling plant. The solar facility offers 377 parking spaces and 32 charging points. Overall, the project combines photovoltaics with circular economy, demonstrating KURZ’s commitment to innovative, sustainable solutions.
